Purchase detergent in tablet form so he doesn't have to carry measuring cups, bulky containers, or extra powder. Determine how many tablets he will need (one per load) by reviewing the number of loads he plans to do before leaving home. Place the tablets right into his laundry bag when he loads up the dirty clothes.

Use fabric softener that comes in sheets, to be added to each load when the clothes are in the dryer. Remove a specific number of individual sheets from the box while at home, taking along only what he needs. Fold the single sheets up separately and place them in his pocket to carry to the laundromat.

Bring coins with him. Instead of using the bill changer at the Laundromat, take quarters with him using a spring-loaded coin dispenser, coin purse, or just his pocket. |

|
Go at a time of day when he can be assured of using more then one washer and dryer. Then wait to fold the clean clothes until he gets home. This cuts down on how long he is at the laundromat as well as eliminates the need to maneuver and reposition himself at a folding table. |

Use a strong but light weight garbage bag to carry his clothes to and from the laundromat. Since he will be folding his clothes after he returns home, this would eliminate the need to use a laundry basket to keep clothes in neat piles for the return trip. He also can turn the garbage bag inside out and use it to carry wet clothes between the washer and dryer. This will allow him to carry the clothes on his lap and eliminate the need to move about pushing a wheeled cart. He then turns the bag right side out to carry the clean dry clothes home. |
