Phase 4 Example

COMBINATION 3

Combination 3
A. Amy begins this combination at the left entrance of grocery store. Once inside the store, she continues past the shopping carts to get a basket. She then turns 180 degrees back toward the store entrance. She continues toward the office area to the right of the entrance until she reaches the counter. She then turns right, beginning a route that follows along the outside walls of the store.

B. Amy turns left to pass the photo shop and left again to enter the frozen food section. She then turns right at each of the next two corners. After the second right, she continues straight to the end of aisle.

C. At the end of the frozen food section, Amy turns back slightly and crosses the short open space to the dairy side of the aisle. She locates the eggs and then reverses her steps back to the outside wall before continuing on. When she reaches the milk on the wall in front of her she turns right.

D. Once she is past the milk, Amy begins searching for a pint of cream on the top shelf. She then continues forward past the lunchmeat toward the bakery section in the far corner. She locates a loaf of French bread, turns around, and travels back until she reaches a pole at the end of lunchmeat case.

E. Placing the pole at her side and the wall to her back, Amy crosses the open space to the baking aisle. Here she locates the cinnamon, vanilla, and syrup. She then continues to the end of aisle toward the checkout lanes.

F. Amy then makes her way to the left looking for a checkout lane with people in it. She gets in line, completes her purchase, and then exits the store.
