PHASE 4 - BRAINSTORM ALL POSSIBLE WAYS TO MOVE TO, FROM OR THROUGH AN ACTIVITY

| In this Phase, team members need to review the movement required by a particular route or activity, and brainstorm all the possible ways a person might move to, from or through the activity sequence. Include the options that involve extra time or distance, require new skills, eliminate certain steps, modify or adjust the demands of the activity, or use assistance from other people. There are no wrong answers. While brainstorming, team members should explore unconventional ways to accomplish the same travel steps, movement patterns or mobility tasks. The team cannot assume that for a particular individual the "usual" way is necessarily the "best" way. |

STEPS TO COMPLETE

Write the activity on a piece of paper. Team members may find it easier to map the activity and the surrounding physical location on several different pieces of paper. |

2.

List and/or draw out as many different movement sequences, routes and/or ways to participate in the activity as the team members can generate. The goal is to consider every possibility. |

OUTCOMES
|
| All the possible ways a person might move to, from or through the activity are listed or mapped. |
|
TIME ALLOCATED
|
| Steps 1-2 may take 15 minutes to one hour to complete, depending on whether the team lists or maps the options. |
